Hybrid Fitting

Hybrids exist to solve a specific problem: long irons that stop launching high enough once your attack angle steepens. Getting the swap right takes real data.

The Crossover Question

Where Should a Hybrid Actually Replace an Iron?

The right crossover point — four-iron, three-iron, or further down the set — depends on your attack angle at the bottom of the bag more than on a general rule of thumb. A steeper descending angle on long irons often produces low, weak flight that a hybrid's lower, more forward center of gravity fixes immediately.

Golfers with a shallower attack angle sometimes keep their long irons working fine and only need a hybrid to fill a true distance gap, not to fix a launch problem. We test both scenarios on the bay before recommending anything.

What We Match

Set Makeup Around Your Attack Angle

01

Gapping

We check the carry gap on either side of the hybrid so it fills a real distance hole rather than overlapping a club you already hit well.

02

Head Style

Iron-style versus wood-style hybrid heads behave differently through the turf depending on your entry angle.

03

Shaft Flex

Hybrid shafts are tuned closer to your iron shafts than your driver shaft for a consistent feel across the transition clubs.

Close the Gap the Right Way

A hybrid session runs 45–60 minutes and includes a written spec report.
