FAQ

Questions Golfers Ask Before Their First Session

The things clients most often want to know before and after a fitting, answered directly.

What exactly is "attack angle," and why does it matter?

Attack angle is whether your clubhead is moving upward or downward at the instant it strikes the ball. It changes the effective loft you deliver, which is why two golfers with the same clubhead speed can need very different specs. We measure it on every club, not just the driver.

Do I need to be a low-handicap golfer to get fit?

No. Attack angle fitting helps golfers at every level — higher-handicap players often see the biggest gains, since off-the-rack clubs rarely account for a steep attack angle or an inconsistent strike location.

How long does a fitting session take?

Single-club fittings (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag assessment covering every club typically takes 2–3 hours.

Why does altitude matter for a fitting?

Thinner air at 5,003 feet lets a golf ball carry farther than the same swing would produce near sea level, and it changes how much spin a shot needs to hold its line. We adjust carry and spin targets against actual Fort Collins air density instead of a sea-level chart.

Do I have to buy clubs after my fitting?

No. There's no obligation to purchase. You'll receive a written data report with our recommendations and can decide later. If you do order, your fitting fee is credited in full toward the build.

What should I bring to my session?

Bring your current clubs relevant to the fitting, the shoes you normally wear to play, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it.

Is a launch monitor fitting really more accurate than just trying demo clubs?

Swinging a demo club and guessing whether it "feels" longer is unreliable — perception of distance is notoriously inaccurate. Our dual radar-and-camera system captures attack angle, ball speed, spin rate, and dispersion on every swing, so comparisons are based on data, not feel.

How long does it take to receive new clubs after ordering?

Most builds are finished in-house within one week of ordering, since we stock components and build on-site rather than sending orders to an outside factory queue.

Do you fit left-handed golfers?

Yes. Our demo wall includes left-handed heads across every major category, and the launch bay setup works identically for right- and left-handed golfers.

Do you offer follow-up adjustments after a build?

Yes. Any loft, lie, or length adjustment needed within 30 days of a build is included at no additional charge as your swing settles into the new equipment.

What areas do you serve?

Our studio is on South College Avenue in Fort Collins, Colorado, and we regularly serve golfers throughout the Front Range, including Loveland, Windsor, and Wellington.
