Attack Angle Lab started because too many golfers were being fit off charts written for a completely different swing — and a completely different altitude.
Why "Attack Angle" Is in Our Name
Before opening the studio in 2017, our founder spent seven years building clubs for a big-box retailer, fitting golfers off a single laminated chart that assumed everyone delivered the club the same way. It didn't. Golfers hitting up on the ball and golfers hitting down on it were being handed the same loft recommendation, and most walked out with clubs that fought their swing instead of matching it.
Attack angle — the up-or-down path of the clubhead through impact — turned out to be the single biggest predictor of whether a spec actually worked for a given golfer. We built the whole studio around measuring it properly, on every club in the bag, instead of treating it as a footnote.
Then We Added Altitude
Fort Collins sits at 5,003 feet. Thinner air here means a golf ball carries measurably farther than the same swing would produce near sea level, and it changes how much spin a shot needs to hold its line. Most fitting charts are written for sea-level conditions and never adjusted, so golfers moving to or visiting Colorado end up chasing numbers that were never accurate for this elevation in the first place.
Every session at Attack Angle Lab factors in real Front Range air density alongside your attack angle, so the spec you leave with reflects the golf you're actually going to play here — not a chart built somewhere flatter.

We stock components and build on-site, so there's no outside factory queue between your fitting and your finished clubs.

We're not affiliated with any single club manufacturer and carry no sales quotas from any brand on our demo wall. What we recommend comes from your fitting data, full stop. The studio runs two dedicated radar-and-camera launch bays plus an in-house build bench, and every fitting fee is credited toward any club purchase you make afterward.
